Evaluating and learning about community-led change Tāmaki Makaurau | Auckland
Event description
Community-led change involves local people, groups and agencies working together to achieve local visions and goals. It’s an adaptive approach that encourages communities to try new things and learn from doing – iterating and improving as you go.
Learning and evaluation are essential to effective community-led change.
This FREE online session for those living and working in the Tāmaki Makaurau area focuses on practical tools and approaches you can use in your everyday community-led mahi.
We’ll cover:
• Evaluation principles that align with community-led development (CLD)
• What evaluating in community-led ways looks like
• Useful tools and examples to demonstrate impact and value
This workshop is for those working in community-led contexts, as well as funders, partners and those who commission evaluation, who want to learn more about authentically demonstrating meaning and value from community-led approaches. We encourage you to join along with team members so you can begin implementing new ideas together.
This session will be facilitated by Denise Bijoux. Denise is a social researcher, evaluator, facilitator, and project manager based in Tāmaki Makaurau. She works across many sectors and is a specialist in CLD. With international experience she’s well versed in exploring the influence of CLD approaches and wider systems change. Denise also leads the team at Catalyse and is an Associate with Powerdigm.
