Eva's Garden | Live Lebanese Music Night
Description
Eva’s Garden
A bouquet of songs and flavours, gathered from here, there and everywhere.
Welcome to Eva’s Garden; an evening of live music, stories, flavours and songs gathered across languages, places and generations.
For this first gathering, Eva Maria brings together songs she grew up with, songs she has gathered along the way, and melodies that have travelled far beyond the places they first called home.
Rooted in Lebanon and the wider Arab world, the evening wanders through love, longing, memory, home and celebration - with a few turns into other musical landscapes along the way. Some songs may feel like old friends; others might be entirely new to you.
Eva Maria will be joined by four fantastic live musicians on violin, cello, percussion and chordophones.
And because a garden should feed more than one sense, there will be flavours to accompany the music, with Lebanese snack food available on site - included in the ticket price .
You don’t need to speak Arabic, know the songs, or come from anywhere in particular. The stories and poetry will be shared along the way.
Come find a seat in Eva’s Garden.
Listen, taste, remember, discover, and sing along when you know the words.
Doors open at 6.30pm
