Event description

Join us for Every Bite Movement – A Fresh Take on Reducing Food Waste!

Sustainable HB is incredibly excited to bring you Every Bite, a four-week programme designed to help households become more food resourceful and reduce food waste across Aotearoa. By joining, you will gain the tools, resources and most importantly — the motivation to track and reduce your food waste. Plus, you’ll get plenty of practical tips, smart hacks, and tasty recipes to help you make the most of your kai. It’s simple, rewarding and will make a real difference to both your household waste and your grocery bill!

What to Expect:

📆 Kick-off Event | 30 April 2025 | St Georges Restaurant | $10

  • We’re launching Every Bite at St Georges Restaurant, a garden-to-table gem where 90% of ingredients are homegrown. Owners Francky and Kathryn Godinho have spent over a decade crafting unforgettable dining experiences that celebrate sustainability and fresh, homegrown produce. At this special event, you will:
    • Enjoy gourmet light meals made with fresh, largely organic produce, grown on-site.
    • Learn about Every Bite’s mission to reduce food waste and appreciate food more.
    • Hear from Francky Godinho, two-time NZ Chef of the Year, as he shares:
      • His philosophy on food sustainability
      • Tips on reducing waste and making the most of every ingredient.
    • Watch Francky in action as he demonstrates how to make every bite count.
    • Explore the beautiful organic veggie gardens (weather permitting).

  • Throughout the four-week journey, you'll receive:

    • Three simple at-home actions to help you reduce waste.
    • Access to a private Facebook group for support, questions and sharing progress.

📆 Wrap-up Event | 28 May 2025 | St Georges Restaurant

  • To celebrate your journey, we’ll gather again at St Georges for a final kōrero, reflection, and another opportunity to savor the delicious kai they create.

Sign up today and be part of this movement to reduce food waste, save money, and build a stronger, more sustainable community!

🍽 Come for the inspiration, stay for the food, and leave with a fresh appreciation for what’s on your plate.
