From choosing the right eye drop to understanding how and when to use certain medications, her talk will help in managing common eye conditions before referral or in cases where referral may not be necessary.

Dr Chantelle Piva - AES
Dr Chantelle Piva has climbed to her veterinary career the long way and tracked up some amazing experience along the way. Working for over 5 years as a veterinary nurse with Animal Emergency Service, she established herself as an invaluable team member and became a Senior Emergency Care Nurse and Shift Supervisor. Driven to be a vet however, Chantelle continued her studies and, in 2024, achieved her goal, graduating from University of Queensland with outstanding results. Dr Chantelle was the recipient of the RGH Burns Memorial Prize Award, awarded to the "Candidate with the Highest Small Animal Subject Results" as well as the Virbac Prize for Clinical Excellence in Small Animal Clinics and Surgery, for "Demonstration of highest clinical excellence in practical work on small animals during medical, surgical and radiological rosters at Gatton". Her resilience and determination have been nothing short of inspiring.
Dr Vicki Liddle - VSS
Dr Vicki Liddle has been part of the VSS Jindalee team since 2020. With a deep passion for veterinary ophthalmology and extensive experience across a wide range of species-from penguins to kangaroos, and of course beloved pets-if it has eyes, Vicki has probably looked at them! She has contributed to multiple leading veterinary journals and continues to advance the field through both clinical work and education.
