Event description

You're invited to this weekend of vibrational transformation, experiencing the power of sound, and learning how to bring peace and harmony to yourself and all. Learn sound healing principles and attune to these powerful instruments!

This Friday through Sunday immersive sound healing retreat and training at beautiful Stonehedge Gardens will focus on the theory and practice of using German and Chinese gongs and weighted and unweighted tuning forks.  Gongs and tuning forks are indispensable tools for any sound therapist.  The gongs with their sheer power in clearing, awakening, or entraining into deep relaxation and the tuning forks with their precision vibrations activating points on the body or uncovering information in the field.

Begin to notice the nuances of the rich, dynamic tones of handmade gongs and the pure coherent tones and vibrations of tuning forks for focused healing and broad harmonizing of the physical, mental, emotional, and etheric bodies.

Looking at ancient and modern theory, we will explore how stagnant and unbalanced energies affect the body, how sound and vibration work to heal and harmonize, and we'll learn leading-edge methods to awaken the healer within.

This retreat, hosted at the idyllic Stonehedge Gardens in Tamaqua, PA, includes all meals, indoor and outdoor camping options, morning yoga, evening sound meditations, and conscious expressive movement. You are invited to join us!

In a meditative rhythm.
In a meditative rhythm.

We will go over basic techniques of how to play each instrument and when and why you would use each one. We will learn how to give treatments specific to instilling deep relaxation, calming the mind, grounding, clearing and charging the biofield and meridians, and entraining the whole body into coherence. We will learn effective and efficient noninvasive treatments for chronic pain and distress, discuss treatment plans and cautions for dozens of conditions, and discover how to apply this knowledge in our lives and integrate these methods in our therapeutic practices.

We will practice holding compassionate space for each other, matching intentions, being present, and encouraging emotional release, mental reprogramming, and profound transformation. Other instruments such as bronze and crystal singing bowls, flutes, drums, handpans, chimes, and rattles will be discussed and may be utilized as well.

This training is recommended for current and aspiring healing practitioners, bodyworkers, lightworkers, therapists, caregivers, sound, meditation, & yoga practitioners, spiritual seekers, musicians, and anyone interested in learning and using this healing science in supporting health for themselves and those they care about.

Kirk After a Sound Bath at Anahata's Purpose Wellness Retreat
Kirk After a Sound Bath

Workshop Facilitator

Kirk JonesMS, Master Sound Healer & Founder of Evolvlove Sound & Light Academy

Kirk was innately drawn to sound for self-regulation as a young child falling asleep on the bass guitar amplifier of his father's band.  After discovering the power and beauty of the rich, ancient tones of bronze bowls 20 years later, Kirk began having life transforming experiences with tuning forks (he was one of Eileen McKusick's guinea pigs around 2006), crystal bowls (having attended a sound bath at Harbin Hot Springs in 2007), and gongs (at a kundalini yoga retreat in 2011).

After purchasing 4 antique bowls, he witnessed how they resonated with and elevated his own spiritual and healing journeys, and people started coming to him for 1 on 1 sessions before he really knew that was a thing.  Then Satya Brat came from India looking for students, so he decided to learn techniques to apply this to his own life and to help others. When Kirk started to find parallels between Satya's techniques and the potent emotional healing methods he had already been practicing for years, the ah-ha's started coming, and the healing or improvement of nearly any condition came into view.

Since then, he has assisted thousands of people on their own healing journeys, bringing great joy, relaxation, pain relief, emotional release, spiritual upliftment, clarity, and empowerment. Kirk has led 70 certification trainings since 2016, teaching in 15 states and internationally, and is humbled and honored to continue to receive, develop, and share these sacred gifts.

Kirk is a member of the Sound Healers Association, the International Association for the Study of Pain, a facilitator for the International Academy of Sound Healing, and a consulting member of the Medical Sound Association.
