Begin your evening while the light still lingers, with pumpkin carving, scarecrow selfies, and hands-on fun in our tipi — the perfect warm-up for adults and children alike. As dusk falls, set off on a guided twilight nature walk through our ancient woodland.
Led by one of our expert Rangers, you’ll discover the sights and sounds of the woods after dark, brought to life with a magical audio installation. Listen out for owls, foxes, bats, and even beavers as the forest comes alive — can you guess which creature is calling? This gentle adventure is designed to spark curiosity, wonder, and just a hint of spooky excitement.
The walk ends at our lakeside Boathouse, where a barbecue awaits featuring special seasonal food from Ewhurst Park. Our Quality Meats come from slow-grown animals raised outdoors alongside nature, without artificial fertilisers or pesticides, and as part of our journey towards Soil Association organic certification.
As night settles in, Boathouse Copse buzzes with family-friendly activities: marshmallow toasting, woodland crafts, scavenger hunts, and a few spooky surprises along the way. Drinks and produce will be available to purchase, including juices for little ones and estate gin for grown-ups.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

- Is the walk accessible?
The route includes woodland paths that may be uneven and muddy. It may not be suitable for buggies or wheelchairs. Please contact us if you’d like to discuss accessibility.
- What should we wear?
Warm, weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear are recommended.
- Will food and drink be available?
Yes. A Hot dog per person is included in your ticket price - please email office@ewhurst-park if you require gluten free or vegan/vegetarian options. There will be marshmallow toasting at the boathouse and additional food, soft drinks, and alcoholic drinks (including estate gin) will be available to purchase.
- Can you cater for dietary requirements?
We will contact ticket holders 1–2 weeks before the event to ask about dietary requirements. Please reply to that email so we can accommodate you where possible.
- Is the event weather dependent?
The event will go ahead in most weather conditions. In the case of extreme weather, we’ll contact ticket holders with updates.
- Can I bring my dog?
Due to livestock and wildlife on-site, well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you at this family event, but they must be kept on a lead at all times, and you must clean up after your dog. Bins will be provided to dispose of their waste.
- Is parking available?
Yes, free parking is available on site. Please follow signage on arrival. Please use postcode RG26 5SL and drive down the tarmac track to the matted parking area - a short walk from the tipi. Staff in high viz will direct you on arrival.
