FAQ'S

Do I provide my own table & chairs?

No, you don't. We provide the table - we also provide a chair and space next to your table for your BYO rack.

Do you have racks that we can hire?

No, we don't. You'll need to bring your own rack.

If I have booked a table outside, do I need to bring my own gazebo/shelter?

There are five shaded tables available outside. And we offer space for two unshaded tables. For these tables you will need to provide your own gazebo if you wish to be undercover.

What percentage of profit do we pay to The Briswest Centre?

Nothing. All you pay is the cost of your table. You keep all the profits.

I've bought a ticket but now I can't make it, do I get a refund?

We will happily refund your money if you notify us within 24 hours of the market.

Market Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in the Excess Baggage: Paddington Secondhand Market. Following is a list of guidelines set out to help you when you become involved in these markets.

Our Vision

The BrisWest Centre is an enduring establishment that has served the senior community for over 40 years. In 2014, the centre began re-inventing itself to welcome new generations to iconic Paddington. In the spirit of this, we commenced the Paddington Boutique Fair as one initiative, and the Excess Baggage Paddington Secondhand Markets is yet another.

Setting Up

The BrisWest Centre will be available for set-up from 7:00am on the morning of the market. We aim to achieve a space in which you can show off your secondhand goods and we provide each stallholder with a table and a chair. Each stallholder is also able to bring their own rack. One rack per paid ticket.

Setting Down

Please do not start packing up until the specified closing time of 3:00pm. Packing up early sends a message to shoppers that we're closing and can impact on other stallholders' patronage.

Hanging Racks

You are able to bring ONE (1) clothing rack to place next to your table. In order to ensure there is enough space for people to look through your rack, and that your rack is not encroaching into the general walkway, we ask that you bring a hanging rack that is no longer than 120cm. Please do not bring two clothing racks unless you've bought two tables. You may bring a hatstand in place of a hanging rack if you wish. If you do not want a table then you can have two racks.

Vehicle Access & Parking

You may use the parking area in the front of the centre to unload stock on the morning of the market until 8:30am. Please note there won't be much in the way of parking on the actual morning because our outside stalls will be already set-up by then. Please understand that there will be other stallholders wishing to use the space so unloading stock as timely as possible would be appreciated.

After you have unloaded your things, your best bet for parking longer than two hours around Paddington is the side streets off Latrobe Terrace.
