The Exchange, Vol. 1: Portals — Artistic Gateways and Where We Meet
Description
The Exchange is a series of creative community gatherings designed to bring together makers from diverse fields for an evening of authentic dialogue and cross-disciplinary connection. The focus is on conversation, exchange, and creative dialogue across disciplines, providing a space for artists to share their work, discover complementary practices, and build a network of support and inspiration.
Vol. 1 takes Portals as its theme, examining the gateways that lead us into our creative work, and the unexpected places where our practices meet.
The evening features a shared family style meal, guided conversations, creative speed dating, an immersive gallery, games and activities, photo opportunities, reflection prompts, and a performance showcase where you can share your work. The structure is intentionally loose. We want you to follow whatever draws you in and move at your own pace. If you'd like, bring a piece that represents your practice.
By fostering these conversations, we aim to eliminate the social anxiety and other barriers that come with traditional networking. This series amplifies the collective creative potential of its participants and cultivates a sense of community that extends beyond the event itself, building the foundation for ongoing collaboration and future projects.
