Exchanging Notes π Liberate Community Gathering #1
Event description
How often are you networking while playing, working or attending gigs?
Join us in the daylight before hitting the sticky carpets: chat to a casual panel of music managers, before heading into networking.
This is a space where we encourage passion to eventuate - especially if you leave time afterwards to continue connecting! Have someone you want to connect with? Invite them along πͺ
Accessibility:
Parking: there is two hour street parking on Cardigan and Faraday Streets. There is one disability spot.
Venue access: although we will be in Multipurpose Room two, this video represents the access of the venue (created by the Social Confidence Collective): https://www.socialconfidencecollective.com.au/accessibility-information
Sensory tools and hearing loops available on request.
Live streaming: this is not possible, but a summary of practical takeaways can be provided.
What to expect:
We will aim to start promptly, leaving unstructured networking until the end of the session.
We will have a casual, facilitated conversation with balanced submitted and on-the-day questions.
There will then be time to connect and network - with a gig guide provided of venues that are open/gigs on nearby to continue the conversation.
Find out how to submit additional questions, and learn about our panelists - all information coming to our Instagram! (linked below)
Liberate Community champions a safe and inclusive space - all are welcomed with compassion and curiosity, and there is zero tolerance for harmful behaviour, intended or otherwise. Please see a representative at the event if you are made to feel unsafe, or need assistance. Reach out to us if you have safety concerns related to this event.
This event is taking place on unceded Wurundjeri land: we have deep respect for Country, culture and community that has been stolen and colonised, and we walk with First Nations community towards meaningful reconciliation and greater decolonisation.
