Tropical Fruit World is a family-owned farm where you’ll have the opportunity to discover the challenges and solutions involved in farm management. Learn how this farm has grown into a successful business, all while exploring lush orchards, tasting exotic fruits, and enjoying fun activities. It’s not just a tour; it’s an unforgettable educational experience.

Here are the details:

📅 Date: Thursday, 13th March
📍 Location: 29 Duranbah Rd, Duranbah NSW 2487
⏰ Time: Meet at Mindroom Innovation at 9:00 am (QLD) to arrive at the farm by 10:30 am (NSW) (Approx. 30 mins drive from Mindroom).
Tour Duration: 2 hours – followed by free time for lunch, relaxation on The Island, and shopping at the Gift and Fruit Markets.

What’s included:

• Senior Study Tour – Taste and learn about exotic fruits from around the world, all grown right here in Australia.
• Tropical Fruit Tasting on Arrival – Begin your adventure with a fresh and flavourful introduction to the farm’s unique produce.
• Guided Tractor Tour of the Plantation – Hop on the tractor and explore the farm while learning about sustainable farming practices and the challenges faced by the industry.
• Orchard Discovery Walk – Walk through the lush, picturesque orchards and take in the beauty of nature.
• ‘The Island’ Recreation Area – Enjoy some leisure time with mini putt-putt golf, a flying fox, volleyball, and more.
• Fauna Park – Get up close with kangaroos and other friendly farm animals.
• Wildlife Boat Cruise – Cruise through the farm’s waterways and feed native birdlife and giant koi fish.

Additional information:

The Plantation Café serves meals between 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, offering a range of snacks, beverages, and their famous exotic fruit ice creams. Students are also welcome to bring their own lunches and enjoy a relaxed picnic on the lawn or at the picnic tables.
