Excursion to SERCUL (South East Regional Centre for Urban Landcare) in Beckenham

Monday 20 October

9:15-12 noon

9:15 arrival and check in

9:30-12:00 2 sessions (break in between)

For: Years 3-6 students

  • Please note that there is limited space at the SERCUL venue: siblings who are not participants in this year group range, are NOT able to be accommodated.

  • CLOSED SHOES MUST BE WORN

Content:

Building a frog habitat

  • Learn about the frogs of the Perth Region,

  • Learn about their life cycle and habitat requirements

  • Learn how to establish an area in the garden to attract frogs.

Life Cycle of Dragonflies

  • Learn about the fascinating life cycle of the dragonfly, the attributes that make it a successful predator and the threats to their existence.

  • Students may also get the chance to see a dragonfly nymph up close.

Cost $20 per student
