    Event description

    Overview:

In anticipation of the forthcoming implementation of the new rule in 2024, employers must prepare for substantial changes regarding employee classification for overtime entitlement. This proposed rule will redefine which employees qualify as "exempt," thereby not entitled to overtime pay. Consequently, employees previously classified as exempt will need reclassification to non-exempt status, entitling them to overtime pay. Proper classification is essential to avoid potential lawsuits, audits, and financial penalties.

This webinar will provide comprehensive guidance on correctly classifying employees as exempt or non-exempt under the current FLSA regulations. Attendees will learn to ensure compliance with existing and new FLSA overtime rules, including understanding and adhering to regulatory changes. Additionally, state laws beyond FLSA exemptions will be reviewed to facilitate accurate employee classification in relevant states.

    Why Attend?

Accurate employee classification is crucial; misclassification can result in costly consequences, including legal disputes and financial liabilities. This webinar offers clarity on distinguishing between exempt and nonexempt employees, helping HR professionals avoid costly classification errors.
