Exhibition Launch: Chromatic Luminosity

Join us for the launch of the new exhibitions at Manly Art Gallery & Museum.

Taking luminosity as its starting point, Chromatic Luminosity asks how contemporary abstract painting can reclaim the experience of colour, light, and presence, competing today with a perpetual sea of bright backlit screens. The exhibiting artists are Angela Brennan, Tony Curran, Susie Dureau, Ollie Lucas, Nick Modrzewski, Michael Staniak, Justine Varga, Kate Vassallo and John Young. This is supported by a Collection response exhibition in MAG&M's Cove Gallery titled Chromatic Collection, featuring a selection of works by artists including Patrick Carroll, Ian Howard, Carmen Ky, Jenny Sages, Nigel Thomson, and Helicopter Tjungurrayi.
