Artist and designer, Martyn Thompson reimagines his ceramic vessels in glass, blending nostalgia and modernity
through a tactile, painterly approach. Curated by Aimee Frodsham, the exhibition integrates his new glasswork with
textiles, furniture, and objects from his studio, reflecting his evolving creative journey.

Opening Speakers
Michael Pettersson, MLA
Michael Pettersson, MLA is the ACT Minister for the Arts, Member for Yerrabi in the ACT Legislative Assembly and Minister in the ACT Government. His portfolio includes Business, Arts and Creative Industries, Children, Youth and Families and Skills, Training and Industrial Relations. Pettersson was first elected as a Member for Yerrabi to the Ninth Assembly on 26 October 2016. He was returned to the Tenth and Eleventh Assemblies as a Member for Yerrabi.
Karen McCartney
Karen McCartney is an acclaimed author, editor, curator and avid supporter of exceptional architecture, interiors, craft and design. Her extensive career in print media includes roles as editor of marie claire lifestyle and founding editor of Inside Out at News Corp Australia, where she stayed for over a decade as editorial director (lifestyle). More recently, she was the editorial director of online retailer Temple and Webster.
Karen is also the author of several best-selling architecture books: 50/60/70: Iconic Australian Houses and the follow up title 70/80/90 Iconic Australian Houses and Superhouse, which have been translated into successful exhibitions at Sydney Living Museums. She is also the author of White Rooms, Perfect Imperfect: The Beauty of Accident, Age and Patina and her latest book is Twenty-one Australian Architects, Breaking New Ground.
