Radiance | Curated by Jessie Beard

Story of Hue is a collective of six artists, Jessie Beard, Jackie Anderson, Lena Baumgartner, Penny Brooshooft, Laura Oczos and Sophie Corks, who have built their practice on a bold use of colour, enhancing the landscape, memory and human experience. Considering more than aesthetics, their works are symbolic and expressive, with colour psychology connecting to audiences to draw out individual emotive and reminiscent interpretations.

Radiant through their artwork hues, radiant in their vision as artists, each offers a unique perspective into how colour can shape perception, evoke memory, and transform the familiar.

'ngurramba' | Maddy Pitman

ngurramba explores the connection Maddy has with both freshwater and saltwater country and how both places have shaped her identity and weaving practice. As a Murrawarri woman with a profound connection to the bush, creeks and open spaces, growing up on the coast on Biripi Country afforded a deep connection to the beaches, estuaries and rivers.

By adopting a minimal approach to shape, form and colour, Sandra’s work does not pretend to be anything other than order, simplicity and harmony.

The colour palette, combined with a concentrated approach to the elements of repetition, tone, shape, pattern and form, results in a cohesive body of work that explores Sandra’s interest in the division of space within a given parameter.

Get ready to be charmed by the ink stained world of Mrs shepherd in her delightful new exhibition, Character. Bringing her signature indie-art flair she has poured a massive amount of personality into this collection of mostly pen and ink drawings. It’s a whimsical colour filled wonderland where the lines are charmingly sketchy and the subjects are seriously engaging-perfect for anyone who likes their art with a cup of tea and a generous dash of fun.
