Wed, 16 Jul, 3pm - 4:30pm, at Geraldton Regional Art Gallery, ages 18 plus.
Join us at GRAG for an Exhibition-Ready Workshop focused on writing artist statements, readying your artwork for hanging and photographing your artwork ready for submission.

This workshop will be in three parts:
Writing an artist statement:
Learn essential skills in writing these statements, and the importance of capturing the meaning of your work. Pick up a few tips to help you make the most of your artist statement.Hanging your artwork:
Consider your framing, how to attach D-rings, crimping hanging wire for 3D work and a range of other useful tips to ensure your work is appropriate to hang in an exhibition.Photographing Artwork:
Consider composition, lighting, backdrop, and other tips to help capture your artwork to its full potential. We'll go over how to set up and light your work as well as how to use your camera or even smartphone to get a professional looking image.

Please note that photographs and footage may be taken throughout this event. These will be used by the City for publicity and reporting in our publications, on our website and in social media.
