Everymind presents: Good work and the future of wellbeing
Description
Everymind is pleased to present: Good work and the future of wellbeing — an event focused on workplace mental health and wellbeing, bringing together Newcastle’s business community.
The event will feature special guest Dr Kat Page in conversation with Everymind Director, Dr Jaelea Skehan OAM. This will be followed by an audience Q&A giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the discussion.
Kat is an organisational psychologist and author, and her highly rated new book 'Good Work: Transforming Your Work from the Inside Out' challenges the idea that work is inherently harmful.
Drawing on the latest research in organisational psychology, public health and leadership, Kat will challenge some of our most deeply held assumptions about resilience, burnout and performance. She’ll share why the solution isn’t simply helping people cope better, but creating the conditions for people to thrive.
Attendees will leave with practical insights into how leaders, teams and organisations can reduce unnecessary strain, improve connection and create sustainable high performance in an increasingly complex world.
Whether you’re leading a business, a team, or simply trying to navigate the demands of modern work, this session will leave you thinking differently about what good work really looks like - and why it matters more than ever.
This event is part of the Trevor Waring Expert in Residence series, launched in 2017 as part of Everymind's 25th anniversary celebrations to honour the legacy of Professor Trevor Waring, the Institute's founding Director.
