Join PES and SUT YES! (Young Engineers & Scientists, Society for Underwater Technology) for an introduction to careers in subsea engineering and underwater technology. Perth is a global hub for the sector, and the work spans far more disciplines than you might expect: pipelines and structures, robotics and ROVs, geotechnics and hydrodynamics, survey and positioning, and ocean science.

Hear from professionals across industry and research, including Cristina Cantillo Carcamo (Subsea and Wells Systems Engineer, Woodside Energy), Peter Butt (CTO, FUZE Solutions), Scott McMaster (Principal Engineer, Atteris), and Dr Maryam Abdolahpour (Research Fellow, UWA Oceans Institute), on how they got into the field, what the day-to-day actually looks like, and which skills matter most for students entering it.
