Thanks for booking your spot on this year's night tours, we can't wait to explore the nocturnal world of Orokonui with you.

This email is to confirm your booking details and provide some tips for your night visit.

1. Dress warm! Layers are a must, gloves, beanies, and thick socks are recommended. Even on the warmest days, the forest cools down rapidly after sunset.
2. Torches are optional, cameras are welcome. Guides will have multiple strong torches/flashlights and will provide ample lighting for the group. Visitors are welcome to bring their own light if they choose, but this is not a requirement to join the tour. You're also welcome to document the tour with cameras or phones. Please note, there may be some red-light-only sections of the tour where white light and flash photography are not to be used.
3. Please wear good sturdy footwear. While the tracks we walk are well maintained, we will be travelling through areas with narrow sections, stairs, and uneven surfaces with stones and tree roots that can be slippery.

4. Arrive 5-10 minutes before your tour time to check in. Night tours are carefully timed with sunset hours and the windows that are safest to be out in the dark, and we can't delay tours for late arrivals. Please note: the visitor centre will be closed until 15 minutes before the tour, but you can wait in the carpark if you happen to arrive earlier.

5. Contact us ahead of time if you can't make your tour. These walks have limited spots-if you can't attend, please let us know so we can accommodate visitors on waitlists.
