EXPLORE Workshop - Tools for dance and text improvisation with Thomas Bradley
Event description
As part of his EXPLORE Residency, Thomas Bradley returns to Kaurna Yerta for a free masterclass inviting professional/ independent dancers to be introduced to the tools and strategies of Bradley's improvisation practice text, movement, object.
Sessions will focus on the voice as the lead protagonist of movement through observation, description and free association of the immediate environment. Strategies for movement improvisation, including configurative and sensational practices, will also be shared.
When: 2pm - 5pm, 7 August
Where: Tanja Liedtke Studio - Level 1, The Odeon (57a Queen Street Norwood SA 5067)
Participants work individually, collecting tools to sustain solo research, practice and performance of improvisation.
Free to attend, but registrations are essential.
