Seniors Festival - Explorers Way Tour - Strathbogie Shire Council
Event description
Join us in celebrating Seniors Festival with a complimentary Explorers Way Tour and picnic lunch, courtesy of Strathbogie Shire Council. Hop aboard our bus at either Nagambie or Violet Town for an unforgettable journey along the historic Explorers Way, where you'll have the opportunity to experience the Major Mitchell Bicentennial Trail and traverse the paths once trodden by Hume and Hovell and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in the Sevens Creek Park, Euroa.
This scenic drive meanders along the less-traveled roads, allowing you to immerse yourself in the unspoiled natural beauty of the Shire while avoiding the hustle and bustle of the busy freeways. Throughout the tour, you'll have the privilege of meeting local historic groups, who will be on hand at various stops to share their insights into the area's rich significance.
Our adventure will commence at 9am from Violet Town and 10 am from Nagambie and return you safely by 3:30 pm. Don't miss this chance to explore and celebrate the Shire's heritage with us!
Nagambie - Join the Tour at 10am from Major Mitchell Cairn, High Street Nagambie, return 3.35pm.
Violet Town - Join the tour at 9am from Southern Aurora Memorial Garden, return 2.30pm.
