Exploring Creative Practice in Higher Degree Research (hybrid session)
As part of FASStival, FASS HDR and the Creative Practice Research Group (CPRG) are hosting a discussion of creative practice research, featuring current PhD candidates Sarah Mould, Azade Falaki, and Erin Vincent.
Building upon a previous dialogue with recent graduates (CPRG 2023), critically examines creative practice research within the academic landscape. As part of this, the panel will
· Articulate the challenges and opportunities of undertaking creative practice research in a university setting.
· Offer insights into how UTS can further cultivate an environment conducive to advancing creative practice as a rigorous mode of inquiry.
· Explore how creative practice research generates knowledge and contributes to a broader understanding of innovative processes.
· Discuss the dynamic interplay between theoretical frameworks and creative practice within their research projects.
