How do we help create cultures, environments, and systems that support people in our communities to live free from gender stereotypes?
Join us for the second of a three-part event series showcasing initiatives that seek to achieve change in the Loddon Mallee region. Each initiative challenges outdated gender stereotypes, with a focus on exploring and promoting healthy masculinities.
Session 2- Exploring men’s role and experiences engaging in change
Date: August 19th
Time: 11.00 am - 12.00 pm
Jacinta Masters from Echuca Regional Health will share insights from a community co-design project- creating resources and understanding how to meet different community members’ needs and expectations working toward gender equality in Campaspe.
Carolyn Neilson will share the latest activity and learnings from the ‘It’s about HuMANity, not gender stereotypes’ initiative speaking with men in communities across Mt Alexander and Central Goldfields Shires.
Conversations for Change. Changing our Story in the Loddon Mallee is an online, regional CARE Partner event - Collective Action for Respect and Equality.
Who can participate?
CARE Partners, and other regional organisation and community group members are welcome to register for this event series. We also encourage interested organisations and community groups to join the regional CARE Partnership. Do I have to register for all three sessions?
Each online session is stand alone and can be registered for separately, however attending all three is highly encouraged! You are welcome and encouraged to attend all three sessions as they build on and explore different aspects of masculinities work in the region.
