Exploring our Eco-Psychology with Dr. Lori Pye

Event description

We live on a planet that acts upon us as much as we act upon it.

Earth’s everyday processes affect our psyches, and the narratives and behaviours we create in our daily lives.

We have reached a point where the dominant narrative of human exceptionalism has perpetuated such destructive practices, we have not only changed the climate, we have also become disengaged from the living world.

The way we see ourselves can be limiting and reactive, or it can be expansive and profoundly regenerative.

We have before us an opportunity to recreate the narrative of the present to build a future where humans thrive in harmony with the planet.

Ecopsychology is a discipline which explores the emotional and mental bonds between humans and the earth. In this six-week journey, we will identify the narratives driving detrimental practices to the planet, and learn how to psychologically compost narratives which no longer serve the health of the whole.

We will explore how ecopsychology can shift daily behaviours and enable our businesses and communities to flourish. We will look at humanity as a more conscious relational species, and the opportunities available to us to co-shape a sustainable world within the boundaries of – and in deep relationship with – our ecology.

Dr. Lori Pye is the Founder and President of Viridis Graduate Institute and a leading global voice in the field of ecopsychology. In this pioneering deep dive, Lori will step us through overarching ecological foundations which govern all of life through an ecopsychology lens.

Join us on this deeply transformational experience guided by global Eco-Psychology thought leader Lori Pye and equip yourself to co-create a more sustainable future as an individual, and within your communities and organisations.
