Wednesday afternoons

Art After School Program, Term 3

For Primary School Students in Grade 2 - Grade 6.

30 July - 17 September, 3.30 – 4.30pm

An artist-led program, facilitated by Zoe Awen, focussing on developing painting skills and style! Young artists will explore the vibrant world of colour, materials, and techniques! From mastering the colour wheel and experimenting with a variety of painting tools to exploring abstract styles and painting outdoors, each session is designed to inspire creativity and skill development.

1. Colour Wheel & Colour Mixing

2. Painting effects using different materials / brush, spatula, sponges, sticks etc.

3. Abstract styles & techniques

4. Grey isn’t grey! Tone and more mixing dark and light colours

5. Still Life Painting / shadows & highlights

6. Landscape painting / en plein air painting outside

7. Group painting activity

8. Free painting / painting of your choice on canvas

Parents are not required to stay.

Please note: When purchasing your ticket, the Gallery absorbs all related booking fees. Ticket prices include materials. 

Refund Policy

Refunds are available up to 2 days before the event. Refunds will include the ticket price less the Humanitix fees (which consists of the payment processing fee and the service fee combined)
