Event description

Welcome to the Weaving Stories of Boodja Cowaramup Community Art project by local artists Cara Ratajczak & Michelle Bretherton. The project will run throughout 2022 and involve local Artists, Wardandi Custodians, community & nature groups who will bring to the community a series of FREE, fun, educational & engaging CREATIVE workshops for children ages (4-12yrs) & families!

This is Workshop 9 - 'Exploring Textures in Nature'.

In this session we will be looking at textures in nature. We will then experiment with creating different textures using paint with various resist methods such as salt, oil pastels and rice. This is a paired workshop with #10 'Exploring Shapes in Nature', so if you have time please book both sessions!

This will be a messy one, please wear old clothes!

Wednesday 25th of May, time: 3:45pm-5pm. Meeting place: Cowaramup Community Garden. (If the weather is too wet for the garden, this workshop will be at the Duggan Pavillion next to the school.)

Please book one ticket per child aged 4 to 12 years old. (Younger siblings are welcome to come along). Adults do not need to book a ticket.
