This 3-hour workshop provides foundation knowledge in the neuroscience of challenging behaviour; key concepts in trauma informed care, as well as practical strategies to support well-being and development.

Learning goals:

• What is trauma, the different types of trauma and its impact on developing children’s brains and their behaviour.

• Develop knowledge and understanding to build confidence and capacity to support children impacted by trauma.

• Verbal and non-verbal strategies to promote secure attachment, emotional regulation, and a sense of safety.
