Expression Session for Critique: Issues in Learning Design with Katie Duncan, Inclusive Practices Coordinator at UTS
Event description
Want to know about practical and sustainable ways to help make teaching and learning inclusive and accessible for all students?
Find out firsthand from an Inclusive Practices specialist!
As part of the University of Technology Sydney Graduate Certificate in Learning Design and related Critique: Issues in Learning Design microcredential, we invite guest speakers from industry to share their knowledge and experiences with our students (we call these our 'Expression Sessions'). We're opening our next Expression Session to the public to meet with Katie Duncan, Inclusive Practices Coordinator, UTS.
About Katie
Katie Duncan is an advocate for inclusivity in higher education. She likes finding practical and sustainable ways to help academics make their subjects inclusive and accessible for all students.
Katie's early career held a smattering of different experiences – digital content, website design, user experience (UX), customer service, communications, and museums and galleries. Katie is also a dog lover and tries very hard to sneak a puppy photo in any presentation she delivers.
During the session, Katie will introduce ways her team promotes inclusive practices. The session will also include activities to practice your skills.
