Expression Session for Think: Learning Theories and Implications for Learning Design with Dr Soli le-Masurier, Senior Learning Designer and Lecturer
Event description
As part of our University of Technology Sydney Graduate Certificate in Learning Design and the subject and the microcredential Think: Learning Theories and Implications for Learning Design, we invite guest speakers to share their knowledge and experiences with our students (we call these our 'Expression Sessions'). Please join us for this Expression Session and meet Dr Soli Le-Masurier, Senior Learning Designer and lecturer at UTS.
In this session, Soli will lead an interactive exploration of a learning design case study, where the common theories that influence the shaping of learning experiences are considered and analysed.
About Soli
Soli designs digital, virtual and blended learning experiences in his role at UTS and has spent several years at a global professional services firm where digital learning was built in authoring tools and delivered via a custom-built LXP to thousands of employees each year.
Previously Soli studied and worked in chemical engineering and then science research during which a passion for higher education teaching and learning was discovered. He completed the UTS Master of Education (Learning and Leadership) in 2018 and lectures in his areas of expertise across courses at UTS, including within the Graduate Certificate in Learning Design. Additionally, he has a great interest in using his own digital user experience to consider new ways of designing digital learning.
