EXTREME Antarctica!
How do animals and humans survive in sub-zero polar conditions? Join us in the Discovery Centre to learn the tricks of adapting to EXTREME climates. Hear tales of adventure and curious facts from SA Museum scientists about Antarctica and the creatures that call it home. Then get hands on with the Discovery Centre team for some polar themed making!
This facilitated workshop is best suited for children between the ages of 5-15 years and bookings are required. All materials provided. Adults are required to stay with their children for the duration of the program.
- When: Monday 24, Tuesday 25, Thursday 27 & -Friday 28th January
- Session: 10.30am – 12pm + 1pm – 2.30pm each day
- Where: Discovery Centre, Level 1 (next to the Australian Aboriginal Cultures Gallery)
- Duration: 1.5 hours
- Cost: Child (ages 5-15) $10; SA Museum Members (ages 5-15) $8; Accompanying Adult (please register) FREE.
