August Peer Meeting: Access, Disability and getting your driver's license
Event description
EYDN is hosting the August meeting in consultation with Clara Silvi from the Department of Infrastructure and transport (DIT). Clara wants to find out what are the gaps and barriers for young people with disability getting their SA learner's permit for driving.
There is a proposed reform to change and improve the process of getting a learners permit to drive in South Australia. This is a great opportunity to say what changes would remove barriers for young people with disability.
Who is this for?
.Young people with disability aged 16-35 years old
.Live in South Australia (online or in-person attendance)
Please note:
.You do not need to be on NDIS, you do not need a formal diagnosis to attend EYDN meetings or to become an EYDN member. You do not need a formal diagnosis.
.You do not need your drivers license. You can share why you don't have your license or what barriers stop you from getting a drivers license. You can share what changes needed to get your driver's license.
.This is a free event. We also provide catering during the break.
