Eyre Brand & Storytelling Workshop
Description
Background
The Eyre Peninsula regional brand, Eyre - The Wild Side, was developed in 2022 and was widely supported by councils and industry at the time of launch. Through the consultation for the new Eyre Peninsula Destination Management Plan it was identified that the brand now needs stronger activation.
Brand and Storytelling Workshop:
This practical 2-hour workshop will support stakeholders and operators to better understand how they can apply the brand and how to incorporate it into their own story telling efforts. Each participant will leave with a completed storytelling framework ready to apply.
Facilitator
Paige Rowett, Managing Director and Founder, The Tourism Collective.
What to expect:
Reconnection with the Wild Side brand: where it came from, what it stands for, and why it matters.
Examples of the brand in action through local examples of councils and operators telling Wild Side stories.
Show how local place brands and business stories sit under the regional brand.
Each participant will be supported to build their own storytelling framework: their Wild Side story, target visitors, proof points, channels and first actions.
A refresher about responsible travel messaging (remote travel readiness, beach driving, wildlife distance, waste) as part of the brand promise.
Workshop engagement:
Hands-on first: 40 minutes from The Tourism Collective.
Remaining 80 minutes are guided activities.
Participants complete a "Storytelling Plan on a Page" activity sheet during the session.
