F/F presents "Queer"

In honor of pride month, next month's first watch is "Queer" by Luca Guadagnino.

Based on the semi-autobiographical novella by William S. Burroughs of the same name (a sequel to the author's first book "Junkie"), and under the brilliant direction of Guadagnino ("Challengers" and "Call Me by Your Name"), "Queer" explores an amalgamation of incidents (mostly internal) that our protagonist William "Bill" Lee experiences as he explores facets of his sexuality. The movie boldly takes on absurdisms, as our protagonist and his lover divest themselves of any self-restraints and control, and delve deeper into their obsession of each other.

The film proffers a looking glass into Burrough's various layers of vulnerabilities and overstimulated liberties, before his fame.
