Facilitating micro-org (re)design

Event description

For our April breakfast event, we will be joined by US-based consultant Greg Thompson, who will guide us through a discussion on how internal consultants can have the right dialogue with the right stakeholders to drive organisational design alignment within an organisation after the external consultants are gone.

For internal consultants, it will provide practical tools to identify and solve the internal alignment gaps that you may encounter.

For external consultants and others, it will provide insights into organisational design as well as on how to better support internal partners.

We will explore:

  • Levels of organisational design and the key components of micro-org (re)design
  • Micro-org (re)design tools and capabilities: the internal alignment of existing work & management processes
  • Key skills needed to facilitate micro-org (re) design

Come join us for a terrific dive into the world of organisational design!

We are delighted this event is hosted in collaboration with International Organization Development Association (IODA).

Our guest:

Greg Thompson is a US-based consultant who is on a mission to help every business thrive after the consultants have left the building.

There are a lot of outstanding consultants facilitating enterprise-wide organisational design projects, but what happens after they leave? How do VPs, Directors, Managers, and Supervisors pick up where the consultants left off?

With over 26 years of experience in organisational development and design in the US & Europe, Greg has facilitated internal org (re)design in industries such as technology, product design and complex manufacturing, wholesale and retail banking, and various non-profits.

Greg’s work focuses on helping individuals, teams, leaders, and organisations use core organisational design tools to drive clarity about the behaviours and actions that create internal alignment to their business strategy.

Greg is currently authoring a book designed to build organisational design capabilities for managers and internal business consultants.
