Facing The Final Breath: Finding Peace In The Wisdom Of Yoga
Event description
We will all face it — our final breath.
Yet so few of us truly prepare for it.
In this special wisdom and meditation evening, we’ll explore the yogic understanding of death and dying — not as something to fear, but as something that reveals the deeper truth of who we are and how this deeply impact how we live, how we love, and how we leave!
This profound theme rarely addressed with openness and heart will be done so in a deeply personal recount from Chantelle; long term meditation practitioner and teacher — who walked alongside her dad on his journey with stage 4 brain cancer, and how the teachings of yoga guided her to support her family through this very challenging time; turning hardships into a deeply sacred time filled with spiritual care, presence and love.
Through this experience, her 15 years of spiritual training came into play, deepening her own practices and realisations, and strengthening her appreciation for this most precious gift as she witnessed the profound ways it touched the hearts and lives of people from palliative care team, grieving family members and the broader community.
Chantelle shares:
The practice of mantra meditation and cultivating a spiritual foundation to one’s life is the greatest preparation for both living and dying well.
What to expect:
Gentle breathwork to settle the mind and connect to the present moment
