Fair Saturday at the Edinburgh Tool Library
Description
Join us on Fair Saturday for an Open House of our community workshop in Leith. There will be hot chocolate, tours around the space, opportunities to find out about volunteering opportunities AND free kids maker club sessions!
During our kids maker club we'll be running short, hands-on making sessions of robots and magic wands making that you can do together with your young tooligans. The sessions are drop in and designed to be accessible and fun for all ages.
Sessions are free to attend, but by booking a spot we know how many people to expect.
Everyone is welcome!
Useful to know: The space in our Leith workshop can get quite cold regardless of the season, please do make sure you wrap up warm to stay comfortable!
FAQs
- How accessible is the workshop?
We are committed to continually improving the accessibility of our workshop and urge you to contact us directly on hello@edinburghtoollibrary.org.uk if you would like to discuss specific requirements or need any help to plan your visit.
Within the workshop space we have a number of aids set up to help improve the quality of your time spent with us. These include; a hearing loop, gripping aids and height adjustable bench seats.
You might also notice stools with painted sunflowers dotted about the workshop - these are a wee reminder of hidden disabilities. If you have a disability (visible or invisible) or you're just low on energy that day, those seats are for you.
Support workers and personal assistants are included within the price of your ticket.
