Fall Armyworm practical hands-on session

Learn about Fall Armyworm identification, monitoring and management including insecticide options, mode of action, natural enemies and insecticide resistance management.

Event details:

Join Local Land Services, VegNET NSW and Queensland Department of Primary Industries for an interactive session to keep growers, agronomists and industry stakeholders up to date with the latest fall armyworm (FAW) research and development.

Attendees will gain valuable skills and insights from Queensland DPI's FAW experts and Local Land Services professionals across the Agricultural Services and Plant Biosecurity teams.

This workshop is designed to empower vegetable growers, agronomists and industry stakeholders with the tools and knowledge to better understand, monitor and manage fall armyworm on farms

What you'd learn:

• FAW identification, monitoring and regional growth rate

• FAW management in vegetable crops (including capsicum)

• Insecticide options, mode of action and natural enemies

• Insecticide resistance management

• Updates on latest FAW research

• Panel Session – Greater Sydney specific FAW challenges, grower needs and future research priorities.

Lunch and drinks will be provided.

This event will partially be held outdoors, please ensure you wear sturdy footwear.
