About the acts!
Opening the afternoon is local musician Amara. She has loved and been inspired by music her whole life, and her sound has been likened to that of Lorde and Billie Eilish. Having just released her debut EP '17' she is definitely someone to look out for in the scene!
Bringing in the sounds from a place deep down within, Duke Rod Florence is a soul/folk/blues artist from Boorloo (Perth) carving his sound and his story with the power of music. He writes about the small things in life and takes inspiration from artists such as Jeff Buckley, D'Angelo, and Jack Johnson.
An indie folk trio from Boorloo (Perth), the maeflowers are most simply sharing stories of their experiences navigating life. They invite their audience into a carefully crafted world of painted harmonies and raw emotion, hoping to leave them wandering further into their unique sound and comforted in life’s turbulences.
Growing up in Busselton and then moving up to Perth, Lexi Windsor likes to think she has experienced a decent amount of life. Her folky/soft pop songs speak of the struggles of being a young adult and having to pay rent as well as being a musician and dealing with overthinking. Her sound can be compared to that of Lizzy McAlpine, Laura Marling and Tiny Habits. Having just released her second single Falling Behind about imposter syndrome, she hopes you can find a bit of hope in circumstances that might not be ideal and 'step into the light'
