This is the fifth year that Falling Walls Lab Australia has taken place and the first time as a virtual event. The winning presenters will go on to appear at the international event, Falling Walls Remote 2020, in November. Australian winners will be selected by a distinguished jury of academics and businesspeople, chaired by Academy President Professor John Shine.
Last year, Australian researcher Rhys Pirie took out first place at the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin and was named 2019 Young Innovator of the Year.
