Event description

Start Saturday morning of Design Week right with a coffee, treat and a tour of Fallow's library.

From 10am - 12noon on Saturday 23rd, join Fallow (Amber Cronin and Tom Borgas) for a personalised tour of their home library of rare and coveted design books collected from around the world over coffee, couches and conversation.

Conceived as an act of gentle resistance against the loss of bricks and mortar bookshops and the dissolution of physical institutional collections, Amber and Tom have been sourcing books that inspire their thinking, process and projects for over a decade. More than a collection of ideas and images, they see it as a catalyst for connection, conversation and community.

The event includes a chance to browse the library as well as a short, informal tour. Topics include art, architecture, design, critical theory, ecology and then some.

Breakfast Bread Bar By Idle Hands Sourdough

Filter Coffee supplied.

About Fallow:

Fallow is a critical spatial practice that focuses on site-sensitive, immersive presentations in public space through sculpture, installation, performance and education. A merging of the practices of Amber Cronin and Tom Borgas, its field is the ecological space of arts research and practice– a thinking-through doing that seeks to reframe an experience of reciprocity and connection as a definitive way of being in the world.
