Falls Creek Alpine Resort is proud to host the annual long lunch on Friday the 14th of March 2025.
Join your fellow diners and experience a gourmet menu curated by the talented team at Ory's Falls Creek. Surrounded by high country history, the event will take place at Wallace's Hut, the oldest cattleman's hut on the stunning Bogong High Plains.
This year's menu includes*:
- Canapes
- Entree: Poached chicken & herb salad, pickled carrot, crispy shallot
- Mains: Braised lamb shanks, cauliflower puree, charred carrots, onion jus
- Dessert: Â Chocolate & almond cake, coffee Chantilly, berry compote

A full range of matched wines from local favourite Pizzini and Bright Brewery beers will accompany all courses. The gastronomy will be as incredible as the surroundings.Â
Guests should expect to depart Falls Creek on the complimentary shuttle bus at 11:15am from in front of St. Falls Resort (near the bike wash station!). A short walk from the drop-off point will bring guests to the iconic Wallace's Hut. Nestled in a magical grove of snowgums, this is a perfect setting for a decadent feast hidden in the Victorian High Plains.Â
SEATING REQUESTS: If you wish to ensure your group sits together on the day please book your tickets in the ONE order. The seating allocation through this booking platform is a request only any cannot be guaranteed, nor can the table number. We may need to move groups to ensure all 10 seats are filled at the table. The final table allocations will be available for viewing before you get on the bus and as you arrive at the event site on the day.
