Falsettos by William Finn & James Lapine
Event description
Falsettos, a groundbreaking musical by William Finn and James Lapine, explores the complexities of love, family, and identity with humor and heart. Set against the backdrop of 1970s and 1980s New York, the story follows Marvin, who leaves his wife and son for a relationship with another man, Whizzer. As Marvin tries to maintain a sense of family with his ex-wife Trina, son Jason, and new partner, the characters navigate evolving relationships, societal changes, and the looming AIDS crisis. With a blend of wit, poignant moments, and Finn’s intricate score, Falsettos is a moving reflection on the meaning of love, acceptance, and resilience.
