Event description
This online workshop is for school leavers with intellectual disability and their families. It aims to provide the information you need at this stage to find and keep work in employment.
In this workshop you will:
- Learn about open employment – what it is, and the possibilities and options that exist for people with intellectual disability
- Learn what to do after leaving school to help find and keep a job in open employment – learn about what’s available and what works
- Learn about the supports available to help find and keep work in open employment, especially the recent changes to NDIS employment supports
- Learn about the Everyone Can Work website and how to find the information you need
- Feel more confident about finding and keeping work in open employment
