Families Workshop 4 of 4: Getting into open employment later in life

This online workshop is for adults with intellectual disability and their families who want to learn about open employment. This includes people who may be unemployed, working in Australian Disability Enterprises (ADEs), in open employment but need more support, or taking part in Day Programs. It aims to provide the information you need to find work in open employment with the supports you need.

In this workshop you will:

• Learn about open employment – especially the possibilities and options that now exist for people with intellectual disability
• Learn how NDIS employment support funding has changed and can now help people to:
  o Find and keep different kinds of work in open employment
  o Move from an ADE or Day Program into open employment
  o Get more support to help them keep their existing open employment job
• Learn about the Everyone Can Work website and how to find the information you need
• Feel more confident about finding and keeping work in open employment
