Family and Domestic Violence First Aid Training
Description
FDV First Aid is practical recognise-and-respond training that builds the knowledge, skills and confidence to safely support someone experiencing Family and Domestic Violence (FDV)
Too often, people want to help, but fear saying the wrong thing, making the situation worse, or not knowing where to turn. FDV First Aid bridges the gap between concern and action by equipping participants with clear skills to respond in ways that prioritise safety, dignity and choice.
Using the Zonta Houses FDV First Aid SAFE approach responding to family and domestic violence, participants will learn how to recognise possible indicators of FDV, respond in a supportive and trauma-informed way, and connect people with appropriate support while maintaining their own boundaries, safety and wellbeing.
