Description

Curious about the mammals that live around Myponga Reservoir Reserve? Learn how to look, listen and notice the signs of wildlife around you in this family-friendly ecology experience.

Join us together with Nature Play SA on Thursday 8 October at Myponga Reservoir Reserve, where we’ll explore the variety of habitats that support mammals and discover more about some of the species that call the reservoir reserve home.

Together with Drew Kilner, a Kaurna and Ngarrindjeri man, and Nature Play SA, you’ll learn more about mammals found around Myponga, including possums, bandicoots, kangaroos, koalas, antechinus, swamp rats, microbats and echidnas.

We’ll explore areas with tree hollows and different vegetation types, learning how these habitats support wildlife and why protecting and restoring them is so important.

No previous wildlife or ecology experience is needed.

What’s included:

· Learn about some of the mammals that call Myponga Reservoir Reserve home.
· Explore different habitats, including areas with tree hollows and distinct vegetation types.
