Family Focused Mindful Mornings

Event description

Bring your babies to yoga!

Join us for your dose of mindfulness, movement, meditation, and most importantly, meeting with your village!

As parents and caregivers, we make countless sacrifices for our loved ones, and often put ourselves last. My dream since becoming a mother was to created a space where moms and parents didn’t have to do that juggle, deciding between caring for themselves or their kids. Introducing … Family Focused Mindful Mornings! The idea behind this event is that parents can come do their personal yoga and meditation practice, while their babies are cared for by experienced and loving nannies, all at the same time, and same place! This is a unique experience that we hope will serve the whole family and community.

Adults Yoga:

Adults will join Amanda Freels for yoga in the park. Amanda is a teacher with 7 years of experience leading yoga, yoga therapy, meditation, sound healing, and a range of movement classes from hot vinyasa to deep stretch. As a mother, she has a unique perspective on the mindfulness tools and emotional fortitude we need in our daily lives as parents of littles. Our practice will include a meditative sit and mindful movement to connect within and help us learn how to serve our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, especially while we’re in the thick of caring for another human and their big emotions. While the class will give you plenty of space to nourish yourself and go inward, we will also connect in community with other parents, leaning on each other for support, having open discussions and cultivating that village that we all seek. Follow Amanda on Instagram @amandafreels11.

Childcare:

Your infants and toddlers, ages 6 months to 5 years old, will be in the caring hands of Lili Newman and Kerry MacDonald.

Follow Lili on Instagram @yoga_withlili.

Kerry has worked as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for the past 5 years, developing expertise in the healing medicine of targeted sensation and movement to re-wire children’s nervous systems into greater balance and harmony. She has also been empowering little yogis on a journey of self-discovery through mindful movement and yoga classes for the past year.

You can count on Lili and Kerry to keep your children safe while they learn more about mindfulness, nature, and themselves through play and exploration in the park.

We hope to see you there!
