Family Meal: An Argentine Dinner Party
Some of the best wine experiences don’t happen at a tasting counter or a perfectly choreographed wine dinner. They happen around a table, with good food, great wine, and friends who are happy to pour another glass.
Our friend Don recently visited Argentina and we’re bringing a little of that spirit home to VinoTeca for an evening of Argentine wines and comforting, soulful cooking by Pedro of Saberico. Think golden beef empanadas with chimichurri and salsa criolla, a proper milanesa, trout with a silky leek and cream sauce, and a fresh green salad with Dijon vinaigrette.
We’ll share five wines, pass the plates, tell a few stories, and enjoy the kind of dinner that reminds us why we gather around the table in the first place. Katie, Janeen and even Pedro will be joining the party this time! No formal wine-dinner choreography here—just good bottles, delicious food, and the pleasure of dining with friends.
