Family Rhythm Games

This special family event invites you and your children to join in on a fun and educational experience of pure play with rhythm! Drawing upon decades of experience working with children and communities, your presenter Djulz Chambers will guide you and your family through games and activities utilising the instruments of the West African drumming ensemble, as well as the body's natural capacities for creating sound through movement and singing. This workshop is intended as a fun and inspirational afternoon out with your kids, a great way to connect with other families in the community, and a fascinating glimpse into how you can introduce rhythm games into your daily lives and into the developmental journey of your children. 

This workshop is designed for adults who are parents, custodians of young people or educators. We welcome children 5-11 years old to join in. Younger children are welcome to come and play in the space. Djembe drums and all percussion instruments will be provided for all participants, or you are welcome to bring your own.
