Getting here
To get to the Hutt Street Library, the most convenient form of public transport is the bus. The closest bus stops are K1 and J1 on the east side of Hutt Street and Q1 on the west side. For all routes and timetables, see the Adelaide Metro website.
If you are already within the city or North Adelaide, the Adelaide Free connector bus is a great option. The large loop (98a and 98c) connects North Adelaide and the City, while the small loop (99a and 99c) connects the inner city areas that are not serviced by the tram.
If travelling by bus, alight at Stop 4 (West) & Stop 5 (East) on O'Connell Street. If using the free connector bus, alight at Stop Number 7.
Accessibility
There are no steps at the main entrance. There are stairs or a lift (90Wcm x 153Lcm x 217Hcm) to the first floor where a conference room is available. Our conference area seats up to 20 people, with tables and chairs available.
There is one disability parking place located directly outside the library. Short-term parking is available on Hutt Street, South Terrace, Gillies Street and Halifax Street. Please read parking signage carefully before leaving your vehicle as time limits and costs may apply.
For information about accessibility in the library, please read the Hutt Street Library Access Guide.
